  • 24 tender stem broccoli stems
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tsp whole cumin seeds
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Orange Sauce

  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup pure orange juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 6 spring onions, chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place broccoli stems in an oven roasting dish. Pour olive oil, butter, cumin and honey over. Season with salt and pepper and mix.
  2. Roast open for 20 minutes, shaking the dish lightly from time to time.
  3. Orange sauce: combine all the ingredients for the sauce, except the spring onions.
  4. Spoon warm broccoli onto a serving platter. Pour sauce over and garnish with spring onions. Serve.
